Last week our volunteers had a very fruitful meeting with Lloyd Thomas from the Swansea City AFC Foundation to discuss closer co-operation and to look at the potential for the club to start the process of become a Football Club of Sanctuary!
Football Clubs of Sanctuary are part of a growing part of the CoS UK movement that celebrates inclusivity, community, and the spirit of welcome within sports. By working towards this recognition, clubs commit to creating safe, supportive spaces for everyone, especially those seeking sanctuary. It’s about using the power of football to unite communities, celebrate diversity, and inspire positive change.
We’re excited to see where this collaboration could lead and how Swansea City AFC might step up to champion a culture of welcome both on and off the pitch!
