Wednesday 14th December marked 6 months since the first flight to Rwanda was cancelled.
In solidarity, a walk took place across Swansea Bay, organised by Oxfam Bookshop, Unity in Diversity and Swansea City of Sanctuary, featuring the wonderful ‘Human Rights NOT Rwanda Flights’ banner handmade by members of Unity in Diversity.
The group started near the Meridian Tower and walked along Swansea Bay, around the Swansea Arena and through town, finishing the walk of solidarity at Oxfam Bookshop, Castle St. where campaigners were welcomed with a hot drink and a mince pie!
Together With Refugees have announced, following last year’s success, they are again inviting everyone to join with City of Sanctuary to fill our streets, classrooms, social media feeds and town halls with messages of love and solidarity for refugees on 14 February, and wear your (orange) heart on your sleeve this Valentine’s Day!
