We are excited to invite you to Sanctuary Saturday, an inspiring event dedicated to fostering community cohesion and spreading the message of welcome throughout Swansea!
Sanctuary Saturday will bring together individuals and organisations passionate about creating a culture of welcome and friendship in Swansea, especially for those seeking asylum. This event will showcase how community cohesion can be at the heart of vibrant, inclusive local events and inspire you to host your own!
Throughout the event, there will be a variety of activities and performances put together to inspire and raise discussions about how we can collectively put together smaller community cohesion events in local communities across the city in future. You can read more about our Community Cohesion Project on our website (an attached), funded through The Alun Evans Fund from SCVS.
If you are interested in creating better community relationships, then please join us! This is your opportunity to connect with others, learn about innovative approaches to promote community cohesion, and explore how you can organise your own event tailored to your local community. We’ll be sharing resources, ideas, and stories to help inspire and guide you.
You can register now via our Eventbrite page (free admission).
Please feel free to share our poster (attached) with your networks, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in being involved at this event, or have ideas for any future Community Cohesion events.
We look forward to seeing you at Sanctuary Saturday!
