As Swansea City of Sanctuary moves from its anniversary year to a new year and a new structure, help us shape our future activities in our upcoming online event.

*Resolution

Following the unanimous decision of the Management Committee in Sept 2021 the Membership resolves to give the trustees permission to:

Change the rules in the constitution relating to the numbers on the Management Committee/ board to a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 12. The Board to be mandated to devise a structure for consultation with members which may change from time to time.
 

 

**Nominations and Appointment

Please consider whether you can support the Management Committee by joining the Committee either as a volunteer or via nomination from your organisation. For our nomination forms, click here to view all information regarding trustee roles, nominations, and visions for SCoS. If anyone is interested in finding out more about the committee and what it involves, please email us.

Note that only Members of Swansea City of Sanctuary are able to vote for Trustees/Management Committee Members during the AGM.
 

 

Members and Pledged Supporters

During our last AGM, we agreed to split our supporters into two: Members and Pledged Supporters.

We are currently in the process of updating our lists, so please help us by letting us know if we need to change the contact information. If you have not done so already, this is also the opportunity to choose to be a Member or a Pledged Supporter. To see a full breakdown of the difference between these roles, click here. Below is a short overview.

Members:

  • Have a say in how Swansea City of Sanctuary works by voting at the AGM and other members’ meetings
  • Can nominate candidates to be Trustees on our Management Committee

Pledged Supporters:

  • Publicly support the Swansea City of Sanctuary vision
  • Do not have a vote during AGM or member meetings

Both of the above will receive regular updates from Swansea City of Sanctuary, and are incredibly valuable to our organisation. We are what our supporters do.
