Pianist is on a mission to help refugees
A world-renowned musician visited Swansea as part of a tour to help raise awareness and raise funds for refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.
Pianist Margaret Fingerhut is touring the UK, performing a specially created recital programme at over 30 venues. She performed her concert ‘Far from the Home I Love’ in Swansea’s All Saints Church, Oystermouth, on Sunday 13 October.
The programme included works by Chopin, Grieg, Hadyn, Prokofieff, and Rachmaninovas well as a newly-commissioned piece ‘Memories from my Land’ by the Kurdish composer, Moutaz Arian.
Swansea City of Sanctuary thanks her for her contribution.
