We are delighted to have re-launched the Swansea Refugee and Asylum Seeker Advocacy Forum, as part of the Welsh Refugee Council coordinated Asylum Rights Programme (ARP).
What is the Swansea Refugee and Asylum Seeker Advocacy Forum?
The Advocacy Forum is a group of people seeking sanctuary, which meets monthly to discuss issues of importance to the group. The issues which will be discussed will be decided upon by the group, and where relevant service providers will be invited to attend the Advocacy Forum. Membership of the group is free and wherever possible we will try to ensure that volunteer translators are available to encourage full participation from all. Bus fares will be reimbursed provided individuals arrive on time and childcare is available.
I am learning English. Can I come to the Advocacy Forum?
Yes! We will try to match you up with someone who speaks the same language as you, who can translate and interpret for you.
Is childcare available?
Yes. Childcare is available at the venue. It is helpful if you can let us know in advance if you require childcare.
Are travel expenses provided?
Yes. Bus fares can be reimbursed, provided that you arrive no later than 10:15am and you can provide your ticket for us to take a photo of.
