Swansea Refugee and Asylum Seeker Advocacy Forum

We are excited to announce that thanks to funding from the Welsh Government, an Advocacy Forum for asylum seekers and refugees will take place in Swansea.

The Advocacy Forum is an opportunity for people seeking sanctuary to increase awareness about topics of concern to you. You will be able to invite relevant service providers to discuss these areas and seek change eg. Welsh Government, the local council, hospitals, transport companies, Home Office.

The Forum will be run by volunteer asylum seekers and refugees, with training and logistical support from DPIA and City of Sanctuary. Members will be able to determine the group’s priorities.

This is a great opportunity to join a group and raise your voice about the issues that affect you.
To find out more about being part of the Advocacy Forum, please contact Eleri Williams on [email protected] or 07496 172898.

Initial meeting to discuss how the forum will run:
Wednesday 17th May, 10am – 1pm.
Please contact Eleri to register your interest in attending this session and to get full details for the meeting.
